Established in honor of our late co-founder, Dr. Jerry Hiura—a poet, artist, jewelry maker, and musician—the Dr. Jerry Inspirational Awards celebrate his legacy of supporting Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the arts.

2024 Theme: Human Connections in the Digital Age

This year’s theme explores how technology has impacted human relationships. Are we more connected or disconnected in this digital world? We invite you to reflect on this question and express your perspective through your chosen art form including but not limited to drawing, painting, photography, dance, video, music, and mixed media.

• Eligibility: Current high school and college students in the Northern California Bay Area

• Submission Deadline: August 18, 2024

• Winner Announcement: September 8, 2024
