Contemporary Asian Theater Scene (CATS), in collaboration with award-winning director and playwright Jeffrey Lo, is proud to present the inaugural Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Playwright Festival. This unique theater arts experience aims to foster and showcase the talents of both established and emerging local Bay Area AAPI theater artists, including writers, actors, directors, and stagehands. Co-produced with San Jose Stage Company, this festival amplifies the vibrant creativity of our community.

The festival will feature staged readings of six short plays written by talented AAPI playwrights:
